Why Choose Us
What is Music and Why do we NEED Music Music is a form of art; an expression of emotions through harmonic frequencies. Music is also a form of entertainment that puts sounds together in a way that people like, find interesting or dance to. Most music includes people singing with their voices or playing musical instruments, such as the sitar, table, harmonium, piano, guitar, drums or violin. The word music comes from the Greek word (mousike), which means “(art) of the Muses”. In Ancient Greece the Muses included the goddesses of music, poetry, art, and dance. Someone who makes music is known as a musician. Eastern Music is what we define as classes and instruments of music which have their origins and roots in western, central and south Asia, spanning countries like India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and others. Eastern music includes many varieties of classical, folk, religious, as well as popular and film music and has a vast appeal across the region and the world. With its origins from over 800 to 1000 years, classical Asian music has retained its original spirituality while imbibing influences from around the world over the ages. Today it is a genre of music which enthralls audiences across the globe irrespective of language, religion and culture. We offer basic and advanced training in Sitar Harmonium Tabla Flute Classical and Sufi Singing The cradle of Western music was the Fertile Crescent cupping the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. There the Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and Hebrew nations, among others, evolved political, social cultures that were absorbed by the conquering Greeks and, in turn, by the Romans, who introduced elements of that Mediterranean music to much of western Europe. Over the centuries music evolved in the European continent and spread across the world in the times of expansion and colonization and thus the instruments, sounds and voices of Western Music developed affiliation through most of the world.
